How long are sessions?

Because I like to give breathing space to the process, psychotherapy sessions are a full hour. Initial hypnotherapy and stress reduction sessions are 90 minutes, and follow up sessions are 60 minutes.

How frequently will we meet?

Initially, it is important to create a connection and establish some traction with the work, so I suggest weekly sessions, and we can re-evaluate this frequency as the work evolves, and based upon your specific goals for therapy. There are even times when twice weekly sessions could be extremely beneficial,  and that’s something we can discuss as well. I do understand the complexities and demands of our modern lives, so I am willing to discuss what makes best sense for you.

How long will therapy take?

The duration of therapy will be based on your needs and goals. Hypnotherapy sessions can be as few as 1-3 sessions. I recommend 4 sessions for stress reduction, and psychotherapy could be short (weeks to months) or longer (multiple years). The choice is yours, and we will have conversations along the way to determine how the work is going, what goals have been met, and when the work feels complete.

How much do sessions cost, and what forms of payment do you accept?

I have a range of fees, depending on the service, and offer a few sliding scale spots, depending on your circumstances, and when I have the availability in my schedule. You can contact me for more information. I accept cash, checks, Paypal, credit cards and Venmo.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out of network provider, which means that if you have out of network benefits with your insurance coverage, I can give you a bill to submit to your insurance, and you may receive partial reimbursement based solely on your plan benefits, after your deductible has been met. You will need to contact your insurance company directly to determine whether you have out of network benefits for psychotherapy with a NY State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

What are your office hours and where are you located?

My office is located in midtown Manhattan, 124 East 40th Street, Suite 704, two blocks from Grand Central Station, and convenient to many subway and bus lines. Currently conducting most sessions online, and contact me regarding current availability.
