1. The mind and the body are connected, and much can be discovered by cultivating practices for mindful awareness.

2. It can be very useful to learn about the impact of stress on our physiology, and to learn some simple techniques for relaxing the mind-body, and calming difficult emotions.

3. Cultivating practices of self-acceptance and self-compassion are more effective motivators for change than self-criticism.

4. Practicing empathy reminds us that we are all vulnerable, and connected in our human struggles.

5. Everyone is innately creative, even if we don’t think we are, and we have more creative resources to tap into for problem solving, intuition and for the enjoyment of life.

6. Observing the cycles of change and growth through the seasons of nature and the creative process can shed light on our own processes of change and growth.
